16th Birthdays...
So...man, i know everybody hates spoilt kids but goodness me...i was watching on MTV this program called "My Super Sweet 16th" ... y'all mustve seen it but WHAT THE ... ?!
THESE KIDS ARE SO SPOILT ITS UNBELIEVABLE...basically, MTV charts the buildup to one these kids who are about to turn 16...these are like ur typical "Cali" rich kids who really believe they are part of the "OC" television show or that crappy show "Laguna" beach and think they are "it"... So, cos they are, actually...cos their FOLKS are rich...they think they can spend money like water...
MTV do it really well...like, nothing annoys me more than these type of kids but u jus wanna sit there and get all cringy and annoyed...its not cos like i want a super super party where "its all about me" ... im jus so surprised at how they can away with it... i was checkin on the MTV site for like synopsises of these shows and here is my favourite spoilt rich kid who goes by the name of Ava:
"A party isn't complete without presents. Ava's father takes her to test drive different cars. Although "red is the closest color to pink" in the lot, Ava chooses a black Range Rover. Her dad is hesitant about her decision. He feels the car is too big for her to handle. "I will never settle for anything less than a Range Rover," Ava says....
Later, Ava plans to go to Santa Barbara with her cousin. She tells her mom she is going to grab some food and sneaks off to State Street. Her mother is furious when she discovers the truth. When Ava tries to make another purchase, she learns her mom has canceled her credit card. She calls her dad to complain and stays at his house to avoid her mom.
Ava's parents take her to dinner at Dolce for her birthday. They tell her that she is not getting a car. Ava cries at the table and feels her day is ruined. Her parents remain firm, saying it is time for them to set limits. Ava soon reconciles with her mom and moves back home..."
WHAT?!!!!! FOR MY 16TH...MY MOM MADE ME SOME CURRY AND SHE GAVE ME A TENNER ON THE NIGHT OF MY BDAY...! MY DAD ALSO GAVE ME A TENNER AND WITH THAT I WENT TO THE CINEMA WITH 5 FRIENDS AND ATE PIZZA ON THE WEEKEND...YEESCH.
There is more to life out there then not getting a Range Rover and getting all upset...she did get it in the end...a white one if ur interested.

i say that program. not that one, but one like it! its crazy! its like "get a life" "go live in the jungle for like a week and see how you value things then?" "go to the poorest place and see people scavenge for food, then re think what car you want for your 16 (!!) birthday"

totally man...its just crazy...my hometown in malaysia, i like to see them survive out there man...and u know when they seem themselves on that show, i dont think they are goin to think bout how bad they come off but compare themselves to people like paris hilton or whoever...completely living in this dream world. its crazy...
i keep ranting bout this show everytime it comes on tv to like my brother...i jus had to say something this time...its jus ridiculous!
well, i know its all they've ever known but man...its jus really sad to see how some people don't know whats goin on around them in the world today...
