What a weekend

So...I've had a very eventful weekend...

SATURDAY
We had our BCEC Xmas Celebrations and it went very very smoothly even though there was a sudden influx of people who we weren't expecting as we expected a moderately low turnout...There were more people than we expected, we had to whip at least another 2 more tables...! Amazing. Evening ran really great:
- Carolling which was great cos everyone managed to clap..throughout an entire 3 songs! we cant even manage 2 usually! awesome..
- Jellyman and his "Winter wonderland" on the sax...was really cool cos he hasn't played the sax in ages...i dont think he missed a note...
- "The Gift of the Magi" ... man, that went really smoothly...especially since it was at least 80% improvisation of nearly all the characters doin it...My heart was definetly pounding...but i think it was for the song cos i was havin problems with the lyrics...what really made me nervous was an hour before the play, i couldnt reach/ forget to hit a note in the song...twas really strange as that has never happened before when i was rehearsin this song...it really freaked me out. But i think the rest of it, it went great...thank you Mr. Ferrell for being an inspiration. Sam did great...and she says she cant sing...puhlease miss! Chrissy was great altho she got a great laugh from me and nick backstage when she went:
"Hi Carol...! What am i talkin about...? Sam!"
Nick, was great as the friend and as the 'Ghost of Xmas past'...Bokai must have mentally smacked himself in the forehead when he saw nick prance around on stage with a white duvet over his head in order to put the chair on stage...! hysterical.
and Gavin...with his dead-pan humour...critical timing from the big man...
- Bert's testimony which i think hit some people in there i thought...
- THE DANCE: man oh man oh man...did someone record this? cos i couldnt laugh or look at anybody cos i was tryin to remember the moves...but from what i hear...Bert in the wig, Gavin apparently missed the 'pulp fiction-esque' dance sequence and instead carried on with the finger click and leg jumpinig...if anyone has that on video..please show it to me..! Wicked Night.

SUNDAY
Baptism...After so many years...i took the plunge...knowing full well what ive done and what God wants me to do for Him while im here on earth...it was really nerve wrackin man...I know my mom shouldnt use the words to associate God with but it was:
-'Awesome'
-'Cool'
-'Wicked Style'
I just can't explain to you how much love God has given me...i really cant...the thing that could come close was the presents i got from ppl in church...and still doesnt compare...God has given me a new life...a new life! what an amazing present to give to a sinner just willing to follow Him. Just believin in Him im granted new life...I am part of His army now...OFFICALLY. Man..im goin to have battles...but with God, i know we will always triumph over evil. Evil can throw his rubbish at us, tellin us how we are idiots...how we will never amount to anything...But its all bulllcrap people...BULLCRAP. God has given us the sword of Jesus and the Holy Spirit and we will slain anything in our way.
So, we gave our testimonies.Again, i had the backbone of what i wanted to say and i jus made it up on the spot...hopefully Jesus spoke through me...in a weird way...i think i burned Matt slightly by saying i was the 'nicer' one tho. that didnt go down too well on the way home! :P but he was fine with it...he knows my improvisational skills only go so far...
But man...i wish i could write more but im still takin in how good this feels...It's so big and overwhelmin that i dont what to think about to say...im sure Sam will write a better post than this but im speechless...
Thank you to those who came and see me publicly declare that Jesus lives in me (wo-oh) and i want to thank again the BCEC...i know God lives in our church...sure, we may not have the advantages compared to other churches but man, does God live in the BCEC! Amazing...

About to have the Worship Team Social soon...So, alot of food and i hope alot of people will turn up cos my mom has been slavin over Nasi Lemak and Roast Pork...So...lets wait and see...
