I'm Working For Ikea I Think..

So yeah...as some of u may know, fixing Ikea furniture at Khang's house was the first time i did some ikea work...at first, it was a lil confusing reading and lookin at what i can assume quite nastily, 2 naked sihlouttes building ikea furniture with smiles on their faces...dunno why...ask the swiss why they do that after making cheese and pen knives...But yes, by the end..it was thoroughly enjoyable tryin to see how everythin goes...how it being so simple, is not only funky lookin but quick, efficient and relatively safe unless King Kong comes over for some tea and wants to experience the magic that is "ikea".

skip to today..first REAL day of my course..we've been given a week long project..the project:

"To make a flat-pack chair made from cardboard"

i can only smile really...its tough and quite stressful when u only have a limit of cardboard u have to buy from them...its tiresome to think of funky ideas to keep up...its annoying when things dont go ur way...but i really love it and im enthusiastic bout the challenge...
my plan: Screw flair for now...jus make sure it looks like a chair and someone can sit on it...and also assemble it cos i need to write and draw out a instruction sheet...naked silhouttes maybe?

so heres what ive got so far..this is a cardboard maquette...
needs much stronger backing...i would love to be more like 'out there' but never mind...i only have a week...

on another note:
A VERY BIG THANK YOU VERY MUCH U AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME WOMAN..im talkin bout Miss Tuuli Platner...she sent me the new album by John Mayer, "Continuum"...its so awesome....thank u thank u thank u thank u....altho he has his tour again...he is comin to london..but on a monday..but its sold out...nuts. ill have to enjoy his music digitally...

new life goals: See John Mayer or Pete Yorn in a gig...ive already ticked off The Backstreetboys..

oh, and guitar freaks..check this out
